Parents - Contributions and Charges

The School Board has endorsed the schedule of Contributions and Charges for 2024. 

Voluntary Contributions

The School Board has set contributions at $40 per student, $80 for two students, with a maximum contribution of $120 per families with more than three students in the primary section of the school (Year 1 – 6). This has been contained within the $60 per student maximum set in the School Education Regulations 2000.

Money collected will be used to supplement school expenditure in the following areas:

• Photocopying for class work
• Classroom resources e.g. computer equipment, paper, reading, maths, spelling, work books
  
• Physical Education and Art Equipment
  

The quality of our teaching and learning program will be maximised when each family makes a contribution to the cost of supplementing funding gained from other sources, including the State and Commonwealth governments.

Optional Additional Costs - Charges

A breakdown of estimated charges for your child’s participation in excursions, incursions, activities, etc for has been included in the schedule below.  Students will only incur costs when they are involved in a particular activity.  The amount indicated on the schedule represents the maximum charged for scheduled activities.  As in the past, you will only be asked to make payment for each activity as it approaches.

The charges schedule includes costs associated with:

• specific learning activities available to all students, but conditional on a payment being made e.g. incursions, excursions, classroom cooking etc.
  
• specific learning activities available to selected students, but conditional on a payment being made.
  
• other activities available to all students, but conditional on a payment being made.
